Declan Rice spoke on the Premier League YouTube channel about the impact Mark Noble has on the West Ham dressing room.
The Hammers’ pattern hasn’t been a major factor on the field this season, in part due to Rice and Soucek’s near-unshakable partnership in the middle of the park, but it appears he’s still having an impact on the club.
In fact, Rice says Noble’s presence is massive and he’s always giving advice at halftime alongside David Moyes.

“His presence is amazing, I think in general, just the word captain, you know, everything about him is that.
“When new guys like Jesse come in, or when Said comes from Brentford, he’s always on the phone with Said, making sure he’s tidy with a house, making sure he’s tidy with a car. He does all of those things to make sure guys off the court are sweet.
“Before games too, he’s very vocal. He wants the best for everyone, he really pushes everyone and at halftime he’s giving advice as well as the coach, so it’s huge to have him in and around the locker room.

It seems like Noble is a very valuable player to have on the team, even if he isn’t playing much football these days.
The midfielder is doing three jobs at once, apparently he’s a player, a coach, and even a player liaison officer, helping new signings get things like houses and cards.
He may not wear the armband on the field as often anymore, but he is still a true captain.
