Doha, 1 December Declan Rice, midfielder of the English team, has ruled out a possible exit from West Ham United due to the ambition of being able to play in the Champions League.
Rice, sought after by Europe’s greats, grew up in the Chelsea youth academy, from which he left at the age of 14 for West Ham, where he has played regularly since 2017.
Now, aged 23, the English midfielder is hoping for a possible move to a club that will allow him to fight for titles and play in the Champions League.
“100% I would like to play in the Champions League. In the last two or three years I have repeated it. I am playing well regularly in my club and I feel that I want to continue to improve. Here I have friends who play in the Champions League and for more tournaments important,” Rice said at the England team’s training camp on Thursday.
“You only have one career and at the end you want to look back, see what you’ve won and the great games you’ve played,” added the Englishman.
Rice’s contract expires in the summer of 2024, but the club has the option to renew it for another season. EFE extension
