Declan Rice admits that there are many top players in Arsenal. There was one who surprised him because of his intelligence, he was Jorginho!
Declan Rice is a new player Arsenal, who was bought from West Ham United in the summer of 2023. Rice immediately became manager Mikel Arteta’s first choice.
Reported Daily Mail, recently football pundit and former Chelsea and Liverpool player, Joe Cole interviewed Declan Rice. Cole asked which Arsenal player surprised him.
“The player who surprised me? I wasn’t actually surprised because he always plays well. He was Jorginho,” he answered.
Declan Rice explains, Jorginho Has intelligence when acting as a defensive midfielder. That’s what Rice learned and the two of them are working together to make Arsenal reach the highest level this season.
“His brain, the way he works as a defensive midfielder, always being in the best position, knowing when to pass, he’s an extraordinary player,” he explained.
“I just try to learn things from him,” he concluded.
Jorginho was unfortunately left out of the main squad Arsenal with arrival Declan Rice. However, Jorginho still respects his contract with the Gunners until the end of the season.
