Willem ll is close to an agreement with AZ about Thijs Oosting. The attacking midfielder must make the permanent switch to Tilburg. Oosting (21) was not discussed in Alkmaar.
It had been clear for some time that Willem II was interested in a player who had already worked under Fred Grim. So it turns out to be Oosting, who knows Grim from his period at RKC Waalwijk. He scored four times in seventeen games for the Waalwijkers.
Oosting’s contract with AZ still runs until the end of the season and both clubs have entered the final phase with regard to the transfer fee. Everything indicates that Oosting will go to Willem II in the short term. Technical director Joris Mathijsen of Willem II is working hard for the second half of the season to take his selection to a higher level. He already brought Jizz Hornkamp and Kilian Ludewig to Tilburg. Alexander Fransson probably won’t come.
Oosting will immediately take on his father next Sunday, February 6. Then Willem II and RKC face each other. Joseph Oosting is the head coach in Waalwijk.
