According to the head of state, today, May 13, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Alexander Syrsky and the Minister of Defense of Ukraine Rustem Umerov reported to him about the hottest sectors of the front.

He said that actions against Ukrainian defenders continue in the Kharkov region. This direction, including Volchansk and border areas, was strengthened.

“Brigadier General Mikhail Drapaty is responsible for this area directly on the spot; he gets the necessary means of destruction and the necessary forces. Now our results are increasing – we are destroying the infantry and the equipment of the inhabitants“, Zelensky added.

He thanked the Ukrainian soldiers who are strictly following orders, maintaining their positions and doing everything to stabilize the situation.

The situation is in other directions

The President confirmed that Ukraine understands how the enemy works and sees a plan related to the withdrawal of forces. But the leadership of Donetsk is not left without the necessary support and assistance.

The activity of Russian saboteurs against Sumy and Chernigov regions is also recorded.

“Our task is absolutely clear – to stop Russia’s attempt to expand the war. The performance of this task depends literally on everyone who is currently in positions – from Chernigov to Volchansk, from Kharkov to Donbass,” he said.
