BRISBANE: Mohammad Siraj has put on a stellar performance in the crucial fourth and final Test. Siraj, who took five wickets, ended the innings with 294 runs. Siraj Smith took five crucial wickets for 73 runs in 19.5 overs.
On the fourth day, the Australian batsmen entered the tent one by one in front of India’s bowling attack. Steve Smith (55) was the only Australian to score a half-century. David Warner was out for 48 runs. The performances of Marcus Harris (38), Cameron Green (37), Pat Cummins (28) and Tim Payne (27) brought Australia’s score close to 300. For India, Shardul Thakur took 4 wickets and Washington Sunder took 1 wicket.
In reply, India were 4 for no loss in 1.5 overs. Rohit Sharma (4) and Shubhman Gill (0) were at the crease. India need 324 more runs to win tomorrow’s last day. The last day is sure to be exciting as the hosts and India go down to win the series. Currently, both the teams have won each Test. India drew the third Test.
