But is it winter time, or summer time, that must disappear? The plan was to abolish daylight saving time first, but opinions were divided and in the end it was decided to let each Member State choose which “clock” to abolish. But there was also criticism, because in theory a ride through the Benelux could quickly turn into a cacophony of hour changes. In any case, the intention was to switch gears for the last time this year, but the decision has been postponed.
