Germany and Finland to decide whether Ukraine will receive Estonian howitzers – ambassador

We are talking about the transfer of “nine very old howitzers” to Ukraine, which Germany sold to Finland, which, in turn, sold to Estonia.
Germany together with Finland will decide whether Ukraine will receive Estonian howitzers. About it stated German Ambassador Anka Feldhusen in an interview with Radio HB on Thursday, February 3.
Feldhusen again stated that in Germany a public consensus had long been formed not to supply weapons to zones of acute conflict. At the same time, she noted that Berlin has never blocked the supply of non-lethal weapons through NATO.
“As for howitzers. These are our rather strict export rules. We sold these howitzers first to the Finns, they sold to the Estonians. The Finns and we will decide whether these nine very old howitzers can be transferred to Ukraine. This decision has not yet been made, and I don’t know either, what it will be like,” says Feldhusen.
Recall that Germany to give Ukraine 5,000 military helmets. The German authorities continue to block the provision of defense weapons to Ukraine.
In turn Poland and Latvia criticized German policy across Russia. Representatives of the countries condemned the German government’s lobbying for Nord Stream 2 and the blocking of arms supplies to Ukraine.
