“December 3 belongs to everyone”, Lnd-Cip-Dcps together for disability – Il Tempo

ROME (ITALPRESS) – A day to break down every type of barrier through football. Precisely for this reason, the National Amateur League, the FIGC Experimental Paralympic Football Division and the European Parliament in Italy organized the initiative called “3 December belongs to everyone”, an event which was held at the Europa Experience – David Sassoli headquarters, and featured the president of the National Amateur League Giancarlo Abete, the president of the FIGC Experimental Paralympic Football Division, Franco Carraro, and the president of the Italian Paralympic Committee, Luca Pancalli. “In 2019, the FIGC established, the first and only federation in the world, a specific division to promote experimental Paralympic activity. A path that needs to be supported, a commitment that represents a contribution to the harmonious development of our society”, underlined the president of the FIGC Gabriele Gravina in a video message. During the event, two promotional video contents were presented of the activity carried out by the Paralympic and Experimental Football Division and a video of the experience gained by Abruzzo Special, the Paralympic representative of the National Amateur League.
“We are trying to strengthen the relationship with the Paralympic division; however, we must have the ability to be self-consistent. We have set up a social department and, through collaboration with CIP, we are trying to accelerate the commitment so that the reality of the experimental Paralympic football division can have a dimension of equal dignity and stimulation. Our goal is to be at the service of young people, women’s football and the experimental Paralympic division”, the words of the president of the Lnd, Giancarlo Abete. Luca Pancalli, Cip president, was also on the same wavelength, underlining how “sport is something that unites everyone, and it is also a message of inclusion. And football, of all sports, may be the one that most easily manages to intercept people’s interests. The true cultural growth of a country occurs when, when talking about a subject, not only the people involved deal with it, but when an association understands and understands that the entire system must be taken care of, including the Paralympic world”.
Tomorrow, Saturday 2 December, from approximately 9am to 12.30pm, at the Nuova Tor Tre Teste field in Rome, World Disability Day will be celebrated together with the DCPS teams and athletes.
