Reported by the page Astronomy, the new Moon phase will occur on December 12th. This is a phenomenon where the Moon is between the Earth and the Sun. During this phase, the Moon will not be exposed to sunlight so the sky will look completely dark.
This is the right time for you to make observations. You can use this time to do Deep Sky or Milky Way astrophotography. Without Moonlight, you have a greater opportunity to see the planets more clearly.
