Decathlon is recalling batch of product “Trekking rice with gluten-free curry chicken.” GIS Warning

The Chief Sanitary Inspectorate announced that one batch of the freeze-dried dish “Trekking rice with chicken curry without gluten”, distributed in Poland by the Decathlon chain, was withdrawn. The reason for the recall is the detection of ethylene oxide, a substance harmful to health. The Decathlon network also issued an announcement on this matter.

As part of the public food warning, GIS announced that it had been informed about Decathlon Sp. z o. o. the recall of one batch of this product.

“The lot affected by this warning is being recalled, but some products were sold prior to its recall, between June 28, 2021 and August 16, 2021, inclusive. Please check the lot number on the product and compare it with the lot number below for which a warning applies, “wrote Decathlon in a release.

“If you have a product from this batch, please do not consume the product and return it to any Decathlon store for a refund” – added.

Details of the batch being withdrawn:

It is a batch of the product “Trekking rice with curry chicken, gluten-free” with the number: 16621003 and expiration date: 15/06/2024.

The product comes from France, its distributor in Poland is Decathlon Sp. z o. o., ul. Geodezyjna 76, 03-290 Warsaw.

Inspection authorities monitor the product recall process in Poland.
