Some people believe that drinking plenty of water is very beneficial for the body, although there are some myths that must be kept in mind to avoid any health complications.

1- It is necessary to drink 8 glasses of water daily

Some people think that it is necessary to get 8 cups of water per day, but this rule does not suit all people, as fluid needs vary according to age, gender and activity level, so it is preferable that women get 11 cups of fluids in general while men get 16 cups Daily.

2- Excessive water expels toxins from the body

Although there is no evidence of the ability of water to expel toxins, the kidneys use water to get rid of some waste, and therefore in the event that you do not drink enough water, it is natural that the kidneys do not contain enough fluids to perform their functions.

3- Drinking water moisturizes the skin

Some believe that excessive drinking of water leads to skin hydration, but drinking water in any quantity has nothing to do with the skin, meaning that the level of skin moisture is not determined by internal factors, and it is not possible to rely on water only to get rid of dry skin, and it is better to use some other products to obtain the required hydration .
