A debt collector in Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, residents were ganged up on for allegedly stealing their motorbike driver taxibike online (ojol) at work. The victim, RSC (20), who was trying to defend his motorbike, was dragged away.
The incident occurred on Jalan Arterial Kelapa Dua, Kebon Jeruk, West Jakarta, on Monday (6/9) at around 12.30 WIB. At that time the victim was about to deliver consumer goods, when suddenly two perpetrators intercepted him.
“When the victim was passing on Jalan Raya Pondok Indah, South Jakarta, he was suddenly stopped by 2 perpetrators who claimed to be from Jakarta leasing, then told the victim that the victim’s motorbike was in arrears,” said West Jakarta Metro Police Chief of Police, Kompol Robinson Manurung, to reporters, Tuesday (7/92021).
Then the perpetrator asked the victim to come to the office leasing in Kedoya and the victim is ready. However, because there are goods that must be delivered to consumers, the victim asks the perpetrator to be delivered first.
“Furthermore, the perpetrator Adi took over the victim’s motorbike and asked the victim to sit in the back (the victim was ridden),” said Robinson.
Dropped off at the convenience store
The perpetrator Adi and the victim then together delivered the goods to the Pondok Indah area and the Grogol Petamburan area. Meanwhile, the perpetrator named Mardin followed closely behind.
“After delivering the goods, the perpetrator Adi took the victim to the Kebon Jeruk area and when at the TKP the perpetrator stopped and asked the victim to come down and buy a seal at Alfamidi and after the victim was in Alfamidi, the two perpetrators fled,” he said.
Knowing his motorbike was taken away, then the victim shouted ‘thief’. Spontaneously, the witness who was passing helped the victim and managed to secure the perpetrator Mardin, but the perpetrator Adi managed to escape.
“Then the crime squad picket went to the crime scene and arrested the perpetrator Mardin and brought him to the Kebon Jeruk Police,” he said.
