Debbie gets along well with Paul, but is there a spark? “It feels familiar, it feels nice, it feels nice. There isn’t anything that I think: something is sprouting here that will bring a future. But what isn’t, can still come. It’s okay,” says Debbie.
She is honest with her girlfriend about her first love candidate. “I think it’s a bit boring,” she admits frankly. “I think he’s a super sweet man, but not for me.” She also thinks that Paul asks her few questions.
Fortunately, the second love candidate, Cees, is on his way to the liberal Debbie. Although she has to get used to his arrival. “It confused me.” She is upset and does not know how to hold her own between the two men who want to win her heart.
Where Debbie is sober, Cees is self-aware. “I am very satisfied with myself”, Cees tells Debbie and Paul. “Pfff… spicy. I also think it’s smart again. It makes me crazy,” says Debbie afterwards about that comment from her new guest.
After that conversation it is time to leave the bed and breakfast for a drink at a beautiful church. There Cees tells about his special gift. “I was once in the Catharijne convent in Utrecht. I felt that so many things happened there that are totally unacceptable. From abuse to abuse of children in that convent. I just feel that.”
Debbie has to swallow that. “I’m very down to earth. It evokes abracadabra feelings in me,” she tells him.
Paul and Cees decide to visit the church during drinks. Although Cees strides out almost immediately. “I’ve never seen someone leave a church so quickly. It was actually theatre,” says Paul.
“It wasn’t good inside,” Cees explains to Debbie. “I can’t say I don’t appreciate it, but it does make me laugh, I know about myself,” she confesses to Cees. “There really is a lot more between heaven and earth,” he teaches Debbie. “Much more.”
“Between us, I don’t know if I could be with a man that has that much,” Debbie confesses to viewers. “I can imagine someone has, but to be back with me in seconds after we just talked about it… It’s possible, but that’s a long way from me.”
