Deaths from Covid 19 double in Baix Vinalopó | Radio Elche

The official data provided by the Regional Ministry of Health This Friday they show that it has been the coronavirus death rate doubled in the Baix Vinalopó region. The latest update shows that the coronavirus has killed six people in Elche; In Crevillent there has been a death and in Santa Pola there has also been a deceased. In total, eight deaths from covid-19 in the region.

In the previous update on Tuesday, there were four deaths in total in the region, thus doubling the mortality rate.

Refering to hospital pressureWithin the good stabilization figures, the cases in the Intensive Care Unit at the General Hospital of Elche increased slightly, going from the two patients yesterday to four today. Six patients are still hospitalized on the floor. For its part, at the Hospital del Vinalopó there is an improvement in the data, there is one less admitted to the ICU, the figure being nine seriously ill patients due to covid. On the floor, there are seven admitted, two people less than yesterday.

Refering to cumulative incidence rate in Elche it is much lower since the last update with 75 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The figures also fall in Santa Pola with 52 infected and in Crevillent with 82 per 100,000 inhabitants. The mayor of Elche, Carlos González, has affirmed that the city’s hospitals have regained “normal practice after a few terrible weeks.” “It is time to be extremely cautious and prudent when coming to the weekend of the bridge and the week will soon come, dates in which all preventive measures will have to be fulfilled.”
