These are the figures published this Saturday shortly after 10.00 GMT by the JHU on its website, where it quantifies the deaths from the coronavirus at 3,001,068, while global infections reach 140,010,233.
EE.UU. counts 566 224 deaths, followed in that statistic by Brazil, with 368 749 deaths; Mexico, with 211 693; the India with 175 649 and the UK with 127,472, according to the Hopkins University count, a benchmark in this matter.
With regard to confirmed cases of contagions around the world, the classification is also tops USA, with 31.57 million, ahead of the India, with 14.52 million; Brazil, with 13.83 million; France, with 5.28 million and Russia, with 4.64 million people infected.
On Latin America, the country with the highest number of cases after Brazil is Argentina (2.65 million), followed by Colombia (2.61 million) and Mexico (2.29 million).
As for Africa, the country with the highest number of infected is South Africa, with 1.56 million people.
From Spain the JHU affirms that there are 3.40 million confirmed infections, with 76,981 deaths.
