Death Stranding PC release postponed

Kojima Productions has delayed the PC release of Death Stranding.

As revealed on Twitter (below), the reason why the game was postponed switching to remote work due to the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic. The new release date is July 14.

“Following the temporary closure of Kojima Productions, we had to delay the launch of Death Stranding on PC until July 14, 2020, in order to allow more development time in the midst of current homework orders in place,” said the studio.

Initially, the game was to arrive on the platform on June 2. For the launch of Death Stranding on PC, the digital rights management of Denuvo will be used.

It will be released on Steam and Epic Games Store, the Italian publisher 505 Games recovered the rights in October 2019 – before the game launched on PlayStation 4 on November 8.

The game has received mixed reviews in the United States. Kojima said it was because the game appealed more to European and Japanese audiences.
