Hideo Kojima showed the latest teaser for the game’s sequel project Stranding of death, namely Death Stranding 2. Hideo Kojima seems to have started working and developing his latest project which is a continuation of the first Death Stranding game. Around the beginning of last December, Kojima took the time to tweet something on his official Twitter account, namely “new journey” or “new adventure”.
Many fans then assumed that the creator was preparing a new game project. After various speculations arose, including speculation about a sequel to the Death Stranding game, finally Which has officially announced the project he is working on i.e. Death Stranding 2. This official announcement was made by Kojima at The Game Awards annual event when he was on stage. What’s interesting is that Norman Reedus himself broadcast information or news about the game last year.
Premiere Poster, Setting and Release Schedule
To start promoting the game, Kojima has released the first official poster for the game. In the poster you can see a female character who is most likely Fragile. However, Fragile’s figure looked as different from her new look as her short hair. It is also speculated that the child figure held by Fragile is Louise, the child in the tube that Sam always takes with him on his adventures.
While there is no information yet on the story time setting, seeing this there is a possibility that the story time setting will take place after the epic moment that appeared at the end of the first Death Stranding. Talking about the story setting, Kojima himself said that he wrote or worked on the story script or the Death Stranding 2 game script even before the COVID pandemic.
However, Kojima then made big changes by rewriting his story as the pandemic hit. Aside from the story setting, the Death Stranding 2 release schedule itself is still a secret to Kojima. Even so, considering the preparations that were made several years ago, there is a possibility that Death Stranding 2 will release following the same schedule as the first game, i.e. in November 2023.

It is known that most of the cast that voiced the characters will return, such as the main protagonist, Norman Reedus, and Fragile, Lea Seydoux. We will also see several new cast members in the game such as Elle Fanning and Shioli Kutsuna. Instructions regarding the emergence of these two new cast members have actually been present for some time by Kojima on his Twitter account.
Around the beginning of last November, Kojima uploaded three mysterious images featuring the two casts. And that’s a clue to fans who suspect Kojima is preparing the latest Death Stranding sequel. Actually, in addition to publishing the first official poster, Kojima has also officially released the first teaser trailer for the game, which also appeared at The Game Awards.
The story itself opens with a moment of Fragile and Lou appearing to have grown well. They hid in one place until mysterious troops appeared and attacked them. Fragile appears injured after being hit by a blow from a mysterious figure, who may become the game’s new main villain later on. And at the end of the trailer, the Sam figure reappears where Fragile asks him to join his crew.
On stage at The Game Awards, Kojima said that the trailer contains several interesting secrets about the game project that fans can explore while waiting for more information. Death Stranding 2 itself returns to use the same engine as the previous game, namely the Decima engine and in collaboration with Guerilla Games.
