Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – The Saudi authorities announced, on Wednesday, the implementation of the death penalty against a citizen in Medina who was convicted of several cases, including “an act of indecency” with a woman and then stabbed her.
This came in a statement by the Saudi Ministry of Interior published by the official agency, in which it stated: “Riyad bin Reda bin Abdul Qadir Jarrah – a Saudi national – armed robbery of several homes, violating their sanctity, committing adultery with a woman by force and stabbing her with a knife, causing several injuries and injuring other women. And his robbing.”
And she continued: “By the grace of God, the security authorities were able to arrest the aforementioned perpetrator, and the investigation with him resulted in an accusation against him of committing his crime, and by referring him to the competent court, a document was issued against him proving his guilt in what was attributed to him, and the sentence to kill him as a discretionary measure, and the ruling was upheld by the Court of Appeal and the Court. The Supreme Court, and a royal order was issued to implement what was legally decided, and was supported by its reference, and the death sentence was implemented by the offender / Riyad bin Reda bin Abdul Qadir Jarrah, today, Wednesday, on 10/20/1444 AH, corresponding to 5/10/2023 CE, in the Medina region.
And she added: “The Ministry of the Interior, announcing this, confirms the keenness of the Kingdom’s government to establish security and achieve justice, and to implement God’s rulings against anyone who transgresses the safe or violates their honor, and at the same time warns everyone who tempts himself to do so that the legal punishment will be fate, and God is the Guide to the straight path.”
