Abu Dhabi: The public prosecution says rape is punishable by death in the UAE. Sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 14 is considered rape. The public prosecution said the federal law provides for the death penalty for rape in addition to existing juvenile laws for the protection of children and the poor.
Sexual intercourse with women by force and unnatural intercourse with a man by force are punishable by death. On the other hand, sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 14 does not require proof of force. The public prosecution said rape, which is a crime punishable by death, is a crime punishable by death on the grounds of innocence and dementia.
