On the set of Quotidien this Thursday, March 19, Sheila paid a tribute to her son. In her last album, the singer wrote a song in memory of Ludovic Chancel.
For Sheila, it’s impossible to mourn. On May 7, 2017, the singer lost her son, Ludovic, who died at just 42 years old. This pain, the singer decided to put it to music. In her latest album, she sings a very intimate track called Amble Horse in homage to his son. “This song, I wanted it because I absolutely want to put Ludovic back in the spotlight, said Sheila, very moved on the set of Daily this Thursday, March 18. We tell anything and everything, we invent lives for him … So Ludovic, he’s a man who did bullshit, like many others. Afterwards, I think that today he deserves to be in the air. Leave him in the air and stop vilifying him because it makes me hysterical. “ To pay tribute to her son in music, Sheila called on Christian Siméon, “who is a basic playwright” because she had “need it to be something beyond a song”.
“It has to go up and take it. Next? Just shut your mouths”, added Sheila on the set of TMC, in response to the many rumors surrounding the tragic disappearance of Ludovic Chancel. But for the artist, this song was not easy to interpret. “I had a lot of trouble singing it because obviously it’s not easy. But I was at the end and I did it for him. I know he’s up there and that he hears”, she concluded, tears in her eyes. Several years after the death of her son, Sheila therefore wishes to honor his memory. “After such a tragedy, either one collapses, or one remains standing”, she launched in the columns of VSD. If she held on, it’s because “Ludo would not have liked to see his mother collapse”. “I came back on stage only a month after his disappearance”, she said, proud to have been able to do the show.
Sheila no longer listens to criticism
Her pain, she has learned to live with. “I cling to positive thoughts (…) I am learning to live with my suffering. We must fill the despair that does not pass. I remained standing thanks to my relatives”, confided the singer. And the attacks of his daughter-in-law, Sylvie Ortega, will not change anything. Long in a legal battle after the death of Ludovic Chancel, the two women have stopped fighting in court. But not in the media. On Instagram earlier this month, the model relayed an article titled “Sheila cold revenge against Sylvie Ortega, Loana in reinforcement” and writes: “Well revenge will not bring you luck but another ass lawsuit which I will win again! Ludo was right, you are a bitch and a less than nothing”. Another attack to which Sheila had not responded.
