“Hervé, a year ago I was your first assistant, today I still am,” concludes the mayor of Reze, Agnes Bourgeaisin the Balinière park near Nantes. “He was a respected mayor”
A year later, to the day, the emotion is still great in Rezé. They are numerous, more than a hundredto have come to tell him merci for “the man” that he was. “He was a respected and appreciated mayor. He always had a smile, a gesture, for those he met, ”underlines the mayor.
In turn, the relatives of the deceased follow one another to pay homage to him. “We miss you”, they will say the teachers of Chêne-Creux school in Rezewhere he taught and then became director.
The elected hug each other at the end of the speeches. The tears flow. “I learned from him, I was a new elected official, I learned, he trusted me for several months, remembers Agnès Bourgeais. The political project, we made it with him, and to give it back, we are there with him. »
“It was Hervé the friend”
Very involved in the life of the town, Hervé Neau had several hats including that of the management of the Amical Laïque du Pont Rousseau, which brings together around ten sections, such as dance, football… Maryse, 71, worked alongside him. “It was Hervé the friend, Hervé for everyone. He listened to everyone. He was a good person,” she says.
Christine, 58, agrees. Parent of student in the school where he taught, she salutes “the man he was”. “He was a person who does what he says, it’s not hot air. He was someone incarnate. »
“He suffered in silence”
But misunderstanding still remains around his suicide and mysterious crow letters who harassed him. “He kept her secret, he didn’t say anything. He suffered in silence,” regrets Maryse.
A survey for moral harassment was however opened the day after his death, but a year later, the investigation is “closed”. Only one clue remains, however, a printer “HP Color Laser Jet CP 1515” at the origin of the printing of the letters.
It’s very hard to know that someone next to us knows. There is this or these people who undertook to destroy Hervé. We hope that we will have new elements for the investigation.
