Death of Banjarmasin Police Detainee Called Family Due to Bruises

Sonia then questioned her husband’s condition, especially because there were bruises. She admitted that her husband was abused when he was arrested.

“Before he was arrested, he was healthy and there were no bruises. When he was arrested, I and the public saw for myself that my husband was beaten by the police,” said Sonia.

Sonia also questioned the fact that she always tried to visit her husband during his detention. However, Sonia admitted that she had never been given permission by the police.

“When I was detained I was not allowed to see him,” he said.

Banjarmasin Police Chief Explanation

The Banjarmasin Police Chief Kombes Sabana Atmojo also opened his voice regarding the case of Subhan’s death. He denied the accusations of violence by his members against Subhan.

“There has been no violence since the first time the person concerned was detained,” said Kombes Sabana in a separate confirmation.

According to Sabana, Subhan died of heart disease and other illnesses that he suffered. Even Subhan himself is said to have been taken to the hospital twice because he complained of shortness of breath.

“There is a medical record from the doctor that the person concerned died of a heart attack,” he said.
