The body of a man was discovered on Thursday 24 November, in the middle of the M63 in Reichstett. Emergency services could only confirm his death. The man was on his way to work, may have been hit by several vehicles. The investigation was entrusted to the Strasbourg prosecutor’s office.
It was a lorry driver who called for help on Thursday 24 November at around 5.10am, after discovering the body of a man on the M63 at Reichstett, not far from the intersection with the junction road.
On the spot, the rescuers could only ascertain the death. The man was on his way to work, it started at 5am and he was almost there. According to his employer, questioned by the Strasbourg gendarmerie brigade, he had been coming to work on an electric scooter for a few weeks.
The two-wheeler was not found. The quake was particularly violent, according to initial observations. The personal belongings of the employees were found up to 150 meters from the place where the body was found.
