Death Island” opens this summer | MovieZine

Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield are back to shoot zombies at Alcatraz prison.

Many projects have appeared around the Japanese horror series “Resident Evil” most recently, like the upcoming remake of fan favorite “Resident Evil 4” and a now-defunct Netflix series.

Another premiere is the animated film “Resident Evil: Death Island”which will appear sometime during the summer.

The film is a sequel to “Resident Evil: Vendetta” from 2017 and is the fourth installment in the animated film series.

In the trailer we see, among others, Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine. The story revolves around our heroes having to deal with a zombie outbreak in San Francisco, where Alcatraz prison seems to be the key to stopping the disaster.

Personally, I don’t think the animated films have been overly good, but they can certainly appeal to the most die-hard “Resident Evil” fans.

It is still unclear when exactly “Resident Evil: Death Island” is premiering.

Have you seen the previous animated “Resident Evil” movies?
