Dear Roma, Mourinho needs a striker who can score 30 goals

Jose Mourinho need a fertile striker in AS Roma. Reportedly, there are already names on the Portuguese manager’s shopping list.

Roma will start a new season with Mourinho. The former Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur manager was appointed as coach after Roma did not renew Paulo Fonseca’s contract.

Roma will start pre-season with Mourinho in early July. According to reports circulating in Italy, Mourinho has told the club that he needs a new striker.

In the 2020/2021 season, Roma had Edin Dzeko and Borja Mayoral as mainstays on the attack line. Mayoral, who is on loan from Real Madrid, finished as Roma’s top scorer with 17 goals, while Dzeko scored a total of 13 goals.

Roma reportedly did not make Mayoral status permanent. While wanting to keep Dzeko, Mourinho also believes that And Lupi need a new, sharper bomber.

“Tell me where I can find a striker who can score 30 goals and I will take him to Roma,” he said Jose Mourinho to talkSport as reported Football Italia.

The Corriere dello Sport reports that there are at least four names that Jose Mourinho is targeting to bring to Rome.

One of the names most widely rumored to be Roma’s target in the summer transfer market is Torino striker Andrea Belotti. The Giallorossi are claimed to have made two bids for Bellotti, whose contract at Torino expires in June 2022.

Zenit St. striker Petersburg Sardar Azmoun has also been linked with Roma. However, the 26-year-old footballer is reportedly set to extend his contract at Zenit.

Next is the name of Real Sociedad striker Alexander Isak. The 21-year-old is currently playing for the Swedish national team at Euro 2020.

Last but not least is Patson Daka. The 22-year-old striker scored 34 goals in all competitions last season with Red Bull Salzburg.

It’s been a while since the AS Roma striker has scored at least 30 goals in one season. Last but not least is Edin Dzeko who scored 39 goals in all competitions in 2016/2017. Which striker will be brought in? Jose Mourinho ke AS Roma?
