Turin –
Paul Pogba may be more worried because of his knee injury. Because, if you force to appear on 2022 World Cuphe could end up like Samuel Umtiti.
Bad luck came to Pogba during his comeback to Juventus this summer. Having only played once in a pre-season match against Chivas Guadalajara, Pogba actually injured his right knee during a training session.
The injury is said to have emerged as an accumulation of injuries that were not handled properly during his time at Manchester United. As a result, Pogba had to fly to Italy to see an orthopedic specialist.

According to reports Football Italia, Pogba can indeed take the easiest way, namely therapy as usual, without having to undergo surgery. This allows him to appear in the 2022 World Cup in November.
However, the problem in Pogba’s right knee is already acute and will recur in the future, if not operated on. The short-term risk may be what Pogba considers to undergo surgery.
Because, he will be absent from defending the French national team at the Qatar World Cup because he has to rest until the beginning of 2023. Pogba certainly does not want to miss the opportunity to appear at the World Cup and help France defend the title.
However, Pogba also has to look at the experience of his compatriot Samuel Umtiti at the 2018 World Cup. Umtiti at that time chose to continue to appear with an injured knee condition and managed to bring France to become champions.
He was the doorstop with Raphael Varane and scored the only goal in the win over Belgium in the semifinals. However, in the last four years, Umtiti’s career has declined drastically.
That’s because Umtiti’s knee ligament surgery was late and made him vulnerable to injury. He is now out of the Barcelona first team and has only appeared on average less than 15 games since the 2018/2019 season.
Last season, Umtiti even only played once until he was finally forced to reduce his salary and is likely to be sold this summer. So, which one do you choose? Paul Pogba?
