In the Rectors’ Hall of the Central Building of the Juárez University of the State of Durango (UJED), a significant event was held in which the rector Rubén Solís Ríos received the donation of copies of the second edition of the book Basic Elements of Federal, State and Municipal Public Administration, from the university dean Eduardo Campos Rodríguez.
During the event, Rector Solís Ríos highlighted that the UJED has consolidated its institutional strength thanks to small but transcendental acts that, throughout its history, have allowed it to fulfill its functions towards the society of Durango. “We are pleased to receive this donation, which will undoubtedly be of great interest to the teachers and students of the Faculty of Economics, Accounting and Administration. We are grateful, on behalf of the university community, for this work that represents many hours of work and that the students will surely greatly appreciate,” he said.
Dean Eduardo Campos Rodríguez stressed that the president of the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP), Luis Miguel Martínez Anzures, recognized the notable interest of the UJED, under the leadership of rector Solís Ríos, in promoting the production of academic works. Campos Rodríguez, author and compiler of the book, also recognized the valuable participation of prominent university jurists such as José de la Luz López Pescador, César Miguel González Piña Nevárez and José Manuel Martínez Salcido, who contributed to the work.
The dean explained that the book, published in the Graphic Arts workshops of La Impresora, addresses the organic structure of the Executive, Legislative and Judicial branches, under the coordination of INAP. “This book is intended for students, with the hope that it will serve as a constructive reflection on public administration and be useful both in their academic training and in their professional life. Like other editions of my authorship, it is offered free of charge,” said Campos Rodríguez.
Finally, the event was attended by witnesses such as the director of the Faculty of Agronomy and Animal Husbandry, Cirilo Vázquez Vázquez; the director of La Impresora, Manuel Paredes Gómez; and the director of the UJED Publishing House, Eliú Jahaziel Reyes Reyes, whom Rector Solís Ríos instructed to distribute copies of the book in the Central University Library and in other areas of the University.
