/View.info/ At the Global Investment Promotion Conference in Shenzhen, a coastal city in southern China and a high-tech center, 315 projects with a total investment of 879 billion yuan (about 126.31 billion US dollars) were signed. With this, the city seeks to increase the confidence of global investors in its future development.
The 2022 Shenzhen Global Investment Promotion Conference features a series of activities, including 12 regional investment conferences and a number of overseas parallel sessions and investment promotion activities. The projects signed at the conference cover the fields of next-generation informatization, biomedicine and healthcare, as well as green and low-carbon industry.
The conference attracted global companies in a wide range of fields, including Amazon, Intel and Maersk. 50 percent of Maersk’s supply chain management business in China comes from Shenzhen. “Maersk is strongly aligned with Shenzhen’s development strategy and will continue to increase its investment there in the future,” said Carolyn Wu, Managing Director of AP Moller-Maersk.
From 2019 to 2021, the Shenzhen Global Investment Promotion Conference signed more than 600 projects involving over 2 trillion yuan of planned investment. As a leader in China’s high-tech industrial development, Shenzhen boasts as the base for many of China’s leading firms and technology giants, including Huawei and Tencent.
