More than two months have passed since the official premiere of the PlayStation 5, and the console remains a highly sought after device. Those who wish can not buy a console in stores and are forced to turn to resellers who take possession of the lots in a matter of minutes.

And this is not accident or luck. Well-organized professionals use special software and dishonest methods, another of which has recently become known.
British retailer Argos has received a new batch of PlayStation 5 and announced this to customers in the morning. However, the store’s website and app didn’t work as usual. The users of the Express Notify paid Discord server are largely to blame. Its owners are posting links to buy the PlayStation 5 shortly before they become officially available to the general public. They are usually found due to vulnerabilities in the system or store application. Resellers instantly book a significant portion of the PS5 batch at Argos.
Argos says it has canceled most of its pre-orders, but Express Notify members have posted photos of the received devices on social media. The store was supposed to be able to find a security vulnerability, but this makes it difficult for ordinary customers who face technical problems to buy.
The situation is unlikely to change in the coming months. Sony is lagging behind in making new consoles due to parts and shipping issues.
