VIDEO ARCHIVES – Three years ago on August 22, 2018, Pierre-Olivier Coutant, surf instructor in Anglet, was crowned in the surfing mecca of Hawaii

Pierre-Olivier Coutant, nicknamed “Pierro”, won his bet. This surf instructor at the Anglet Surf Club, suffering from deafness since his birth, had already among other things been crowned twice French para-surf champion of the French Surfing Federation, category “hearing impaired”.

He added one more line to his record on August 22, 2018 in Waikiki Beach, Hawaii, by winning a new title (category “deaf”, deaf) in a competition bringing together 80 participants from all over the world.

Last June, Pierre-Olivier Coutant presented his project on the crowdfunding platform Ekosea in order to find partnerships to be able to go to Hawaii.
