To surprise, Deadpool has officially arrived in the MCU!. Not with a dedicated movie – though Kevin Feige he anticipated that Deadpool 3 will be part of the Marvel universe – but with something that perfectly reflects the characteristics of the Mercenary Chatty, simply wonderful when the fourth wall has to be pierced.
From the account of Ryan Reynolds An official Deadpool video has been released, a reaction to the movie trailer Free Guy, which stars… Ryan Reynolds. The whole is clearly a promotional operation to launch the film by Shawn Levy, which from the images promises to be a cross between The Truman Show, Matrix e Ready Player One.
To comment on his trailer, however, it is not only Deadpool: he is in fact in his company Korg di Thor: Ragnarok! How was this union possible? Thanks to the fact that in Free Guy is also present Taika Waititi, director of the third chapter of Thor – e of the next Love and Thunder – and voice actor of the alien made of rock.
The whole video is hilarious: Deadpool starts remembering his trailer reaction di Cruella, then introduces his host, the only one who managed to make it to be there with him. “Hi, I’m made of rock. Thanks for having me here Paul, I’m sorry you’re dead»Is the first of a long list of jokes made while watching the trailer.
Reference is also made to Deadpool 2, in the part where the Mercenary Chatty explains what “fridging” a character means: “It’s when they kill or hurt a woman to motivate or torture the protagonist, aka Deadpool 2… Thanks for asking».
There are also direct references toMCU, like when Deadpool asks Korg, amazed at his stupidity: “Do you have a Disney Plus show too, do you face the ***?“. The best is reserved for the end: «Do you have any advice for joining the MCU, Korg? “. The answer:
«Have a dream. Run after him. Lose it. Sabotaging every chance of happiness to achieve that dream. Climb to the top of that mountain and when you get to the top, fall to the bottom and realize you’ll never get to your dream … At that point, look at the email: maybe your agent wrote to tell you that Marvel wants to talk»
The answer? “Yes, well… I prefer Thor: Dark World“. And Deadpool wins again.
