Deadpool’s debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe was confirmed by Kevin Feige in an interview for Collider and fans are excited to see him alongside Spider-Man or the Avengers. “The character is very different from what we have seen in the UCM, but it will be incredible to have him,” said the producer.
To the fandom’s relief, the third installment of ‘Mercenary Mouth’ will be rated R, just like its predecessors. At the moment it is unknown if it will be a continuation or a reboot, but there is already speculation about his role and a theory could not have excited Marvel fans more.
Cinema plus comics theory states that Deadpool would have an infinity gem, but this would not be any of the ones we saw on Thanos’ fist to wipe out half life in the MCU. Actually, it would be an unpublished one that has only appeared in Marvel comics: the gem of continuity.
The powerful object first appeared in Deadpool vol. 3 #27. It is so strange that only the ‘Mouth Mercenary’ could use it, since it is capable of breaking the fourth wall. In that particularly comical story, the antihero steals Thanos’ gem to remember the time he spent with his old love, Siryn, but then uses it to change his past.
As if that weren’t enough, it even alters the history of the Marvel Universe. After this, he leaves the comics and decides to give the gem to the editors of the ‘House of ideas’. The reason? he is aware that it is a lot of power for him.
