NEW YORK – One woman is dead and another is injured after being shot Thursday afternoon in the Bronx, New York City Police said.
The shooting occurred around 12:30 p.m. on the corner of Brook Avenue and the street East 138.
In images captured by a security camera, it is seen when the alleged suspect fled after opening fire and hitting the women, a 71-year-old woman who was shot in the back and another 34-year-old woman who was wounded in the arm.
Both were transported to Lincoln Hospital where the 71-year-old woman died.
The incident remains under investigation and police have not made any arrests in connection with the shooting. If anyone has information, they can call confidentially at 1-888-57-PISTA.
