Deadly Shooting at Allen Premium Outlets Shopping Center in Texas

On social networks, a terrible video is spinning where we see bloody bodies riddled with bullets in front of an outlet store, at the Allen Premium Outlets shopping center, reports our correspondent in Houston,Thomas Harms. The shooting began around 3:30 p.m. (8:30 p.m. UT), as this witness reported to the local ABC television channel (WFAA):

« I heard ten noises out of nowheresays the 21-year-old who was in the store with his mother. I look at a client next to me, I told him “was it shots?”, he answered me : “no, it must probably be work”. And then I heard 10 or 15 more shots. I run in front of the store and I say to myself “It’s a shootout.” And we see the shooter: A guy dressed in all black, with a bulletproof vest, an assault rifle and he’s shooting at people. »

« (We) found seven deceased individuals at the scene. We transported nine individuals to the hospital (…) Of those we transported, two have since died. “said Jonathan Boyd, fire chief of Allen, a city located in the suburbs of Dallas and where the shooting took place.

One certainty: the shooter is dead. A policeman happened to be in the mall, he rushed to the scene as soon as he heard shots, he was the one who shot the shooter.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott lamented a ” unspeakable tragedy ».

This new shooting comes a week after the death of five people, killed with assault rifles in Cleveland, north of Houston, and almost a year to the day after the massacre in the elementary school of Uvalde where 19 children and 2 teachers were killed.

Since then, Texan or federal legislators have always refused to tackle the carrying of weapons.

The last attack in a mall in Texas dates back four years, in El Paso, when 22 people were killed for racist reasons.
