One family in Sunter Jaya, North Jakarta, died in a house fire incident early this morning. This is the current appearance of the fire location.
monitoring detikcom at the location, Sunday (27/8/2023), the building which was a silent witness to the death of a family had been cordoned off by a police line. The pungent smell of burning was still evident at the scene.
The walls of the building, which were predominantly white, turned black after being burned by the fire. Some parts of the house paint also looks peeling.

There is no longer a roof covering the building. The roof material collapsed and was scattered scorched by the red flames.
“Three people died. The statement is from one family,” said Head of BPBD DKI Isnawa Adji to journalists.
The fire occurred at Jalan Benteng Mas, Sunter Jaya, Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, this morning. The fire was reported at 02.50 WIB and was extinguished at 03.10 WIB.
“The cause of the electrical short circuit,” said Isnawa.
The amount of losses due to the fire is still being recorded by officials. Handling has been carried out by deploying a DKI BPBD TRC unit, 12 Fire Brigade units, one Satpol PP unit, one PMI unit, Babinsa, Bhabinkamtibmas, and PLN.
