NEW YORK – New York City Police are searching for two suspects in connection with a deadly home invasion on Staten Island, the department said Thursday.
Officers who responded to a 1:30 a.m. 911 call from a man shot in a Hinton Street home on the district’s south shore found the 38-year-old victim shot in the shoulder.
The man was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A further investigation revealed that he was the victim of a burglary and ended up being shot, according to police. This name has not been published.
It is unclear what he took or if someone else may have been inside the home at the time.
The two suspects fled the scene after the shooting. Anyone with information should call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
