A fatal crash Sunday morning closed a portion of Interstate 30 near Buckner Boulevard in Dallas.
All eastbound traffic on I-30 at the split with U.S. 80 was being redirected because of the crashaccording to a Dallas County sheriff’s office post on X.
The crash occurred about 6 a.m., according to the Texas Department of Transportation, and deputies remained at the location investigating as of 9 a.m.
At least one person died at the scene after a two-vehicle collision on I-30 near Jim Miller Road caused one of the vehicles to burst into flames while someone was still inside, a Dallas Fire-Rescue spokesperson said.

A multivehicle accident shut down a section of west Interstate 635 in Irving on Saturday.
Martin’s attorney, said the Fort Worth officer’s actions while off duty were “wholly in line with the duties of a peace officer under Texas law.”
