Web Desk: Deadlock remains between the government and the opposition on the issue of Chairman Public Accounts Committee, another round of negotiations between the Speaker National Assembly and the opposition has failed.
According to sources, the opposition refused to back down from the name of Sher Afzal Marwat, while the government also openly opposed making Sher Afzal Marwat the chairman of PAC.
Sources said that the government is ready to make Aamir Dogar the chairman of PAC, however, a difference in the name of Aamir Dogar has been revealed in the Sunni Unity Council.
According to sources, Umar Ayub Khan has taken a stand that founder chairman PTI Imran Khan has nominated Sher Afzal Marwat, we cannot go back from him.
On the other hand, it has been learned from the sources that Noor Alam Khan of JUIF has also decided to submit the application soon while intensifying lobbying to get the chairmanship of PAC.
Sources claimed that JUIF is the largest opposition party in the National Assembly as all members of PTI are independent.
The speaker has decided to continue the dialogue with the opposition and the government.
