Deadline for three works in the San José Valley

Tomorrow is the deadline for finishing the works on the access road to the San José Valley and the intervention of two other points.

The work contracted in 2019 and which has presented delays, has August 4 as the day marked in the schedule to finish.

The warning was made from the San José Valley Ombudsman, an entity that this year initiated a preventive action to the local mayor’s office and a few days ago a warning control, indicating the proximity of the date and the importance of everything being delivered in accordance with the agreed.

In addition to the repair of the access road and a retaining wall in the same sector, the contract includes other works such as gabions in the cemetery sector and the intervention of said road; and a Santa Teresa road in the La Esmeralda sector.

Jaime Alexander Hernández Muñoz, representative of the municipality, indicated that the obligation of the contractor is to deliver each of the processes completed on the scheduled date and that of the mayor’s office to declare non-compliance if the terms are not met.

The access road to the municipality was precisely the scene two weeks ago of a demonstration by the inhabitants, tired of the poor condition and the non-completion of the works.

In the first days of June, the contract received a budget addition of $ 59.9 million and an extension of two months, the same ones that are fulfilled this Wednesday.
