Starting next year, the data erasure policy of motorized vehicles that do not renew their Vehicle Number Certificate (STNK) for two consecutive years will come into force. Before your vehicle becomes fake, let’s take advantage of the vehicle tax whitening program.
The policy was set out in article 74 of the law number 22 of 2009 relating to road traffic and transport article 74 paragraph 2.
“We at the National Samsat Development Team agree that this will be done immediately so that we can increase the orderly administration of motor vehicle taxes and regional income. I think 2023 will be effective and only days away,” he said the Director General of Regional Financial Development of the Ministry of the Interior Agus Fatoni quoted by detikFinance.
Listed in article 74 paragraph 2 of Law no. 22 of 2009, owners of vehicles who do not re-register at least two years after the expiration of their STNK, the registration and identification of motor vehicles will be canceled. It is also said in article 3, if the vehicle has been deregistered it cannot be re-registered and becomes fraudulent.
For this reason, before your vehicle data is deleted due to this policy, renew your STNK immediately. Now, there is still a program of relief in the form of whitening vehicle tax fines in a number of areas.
As quoted by Jasa Raharja’s official website, at least until now there are still 18 regions that have imposed the cancellation of tax fines for motor vehicles. This program is also valid until December 31st.

- West Kalimantan until 20 December 2022

- East Kalimantan until 30 December 2022
- North Kalimantan until 30 December 2022
- North Moluccas until 31 December 2022
- West Nusa Tenggara until 31 December 2022
- East Nusa Tenggara until 22 December 2022
- Papua until 30 December 2022
- West Sulawesi until 25 December 2022
- South Sulawesi until 31 December 2022
- Central Sulawesi until 31 December 2022
- North Sulawesi until December 30, 2022
- South Sulawesi until 31 December 2022
- North Sumatra until 22 December 2022.
