Dead Space remake officially announced | Power Unlimited

EA finally unveiled the Dead Space remake during the livestream.

There have been rumors for some time that the company was working on a remake of the horror series and that was confirmed last night. The game is only coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and S and is being developed by EA Motive, the studio behind Star Wars: Squadrons. A release date is unknown.

According to EA, the developer has held talks with fans of the series to ensure they can deliver a game that players have been waiting for. It is a full remake, developed in the Frostbite engine, which – like the very first game – takes place on the USG Ishimura spaceship. Players there control Isaac Clarke, who uses all kinds of tools against bizarre-looking monsters – the necromorphs. In particular, by stripping these creatures of their limbs, Clarke can stand up to the threat.

The original Dead Space games were developed by Visceral Games, which is no longer in existence. Three parts have come out. Although virtually nothing is known outside the teaser below, journalist Jeff Grubb – who previously also brought out the rumor about the remake – reports that the game should contain elements of several parts from the series.
