Dead Space Remake doesn’t get loading times thanks to SSDs

During the day EA Play Live the publisher has announced that there is finally a new title in the Dead Space franchise is made. This is not a completely new part, because EA Motive is working on a remake of the first Dead Space for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.

The fact that the Dead Space Remake Coming only to next-gen consoles and PC, players won’t have to wait long for in-game loading times. In fact, the goal is that Dead Space can be played from start to finish without a loading screen. That’s what director Roman Campos-Oriola tells during an interview about the game.

No reboot for the Dead Space franchise

While EA Motive has a lot of new techniques to work with, the studio has no plans to reboot the game. Art Director Mike Yazijian explains in the interview that that developer follows the original game as much as possible. Out of respect for the original, ‘the story, art direction, everything will remain the same’. However, a number of things will be removed from the game ‘that don’t work’, to ensure that the Dead Space Remake ‘remains relevant’ for today’s audience.
