It was Tuesday night that the person was found in the Mesna River.
The person has not been identified, but he or she has been sent for an autopsy.
The police have launched a technical and tactical investigation.
NRK’s reporter on site says that a diving car has arrived from Gjøvik Brannvesen, and that divers are now working in the area.
A police officer with a dog and forensic technicians are also on site.
Introductory phase
A larger area with hiking trails is blocked off on both sides of the river. The area is popular for walking.
“The police are in an initial phase of the investigation and will return with more information,” they report in a press release.
