The police have launched an investigation, but believe that there is currently no indication that the deceased was exposed to a criminal act.
The police received the report about the discovery at 10.45 on Sunday. The deceased was found in a tent in a wooded area at Sandsli in Bergen and appeared to have been lying for a long time.
– The discovery was made by hikers, writes operations manager Dan Erik Johannessen in a press release.
The police and forensic experts are carrying out investigations at the scene.
– There is currently no evidence that the death stems from a criminal act, but the police have launched an investigation, says Johannessen.
The deceased has not been identified and next of kin have thus not been notified.
