Dead Island 2 Expands to New Platform: Embracer Plans for More Success

Dead Island 2 has proven to be a huge success. Embracer, which sold 1 million copies in a few days and 2 million in its first month, still thinks it can make more money from the zombie-slaying extravaganza.

Embracer CEO Lars Wingefors said (via VGC),“Looking forward to the year ahead, we will release Dead Island 2 on another platform, which will also drive multiple sales. He didn’t clarify what platform he was referring to, but there are two real possibilities.

For starters, the game will likely make the jump to Steam on PC, which could net some extra sales from die-hard Steam users who refuse to install the other marketplace. Then there’s the Switch, and even its successor. Since 2024 is when we expect to see new Nintendo consoles, Dead Island 2 could launch there as well.

What do you think of Dead Island 2’s new platforming?
