Dead found in Vlissingen firebreak, police suspect crime | Inland

The dead man was found around 6.50 am in the firebreak on the Adriaen van de Vennestraat. The police previously reported that the victim was found in a house on that street, but now say that it concerns a firebreak between a number of houses.

Police are investigating the man’s identity and the cause of his death. A police spokesperson said the circumstances point to a crime. A Large-Scale Investigation Team is investigating the case. The area has been cordoned off.

“We are working with a lot of officers,” police spokesman Alwin Don told Omroep Zeeland. “A criminal investigation has been launched, so the detectives are also heading this way.”
