Dead found in burnt-out car in Limburg Baarlo | NOW

In Baarlo, Limburg, a dead person was found in a burned-out car during the night from Sunday to Monday. Officers found the body of De Berckt after a “series of loud bangs”, the police reported on Twitter. There was also an explosion and the horn of the car could be heard.

What exactly happened is unclear. The police believe it to be a crime for now. The crime scene at De Berckt has been cordoned off for investigation. Along the road are a golf club and the old Kasteel de Berckt, which is now used as a group accommodation.
