According to a media report, a mountain rescue team was called to the lookout in Derbyshire at around 4.20pm. After a failed attempt to catch and secure the sheep with a rope, the rescuers had to resort to plan B.
As a “tried and tested technique”, they lowered themselves using a winch to the animal in the clamp and pulled it back up to the platform in the low mountain range using a rescue device.
“We wish everyone injured today a speedy recovery.”
