Dead by fallen tree on Aalsmeerweg

On the Aalsmeerweg in South, someone ended up under a fallen tree this afternoon. The victim died in hospital.

Several ambulances and a mobile medical trauma team were called in around 3:05 p.m. The fire brigade also arrived on the scene.

The victim was immediately taken to hospital by ambulance. About an hour later, the fire service announced via Twitter that the victim had died there.

Police will notify the victim’s family.
